Concordia | Education and Social Work
From the Acting Dean
Dear alumni and friends

The Faculty of Education and Social Work is delighted to announce that its Master of Social Work 09 alumnus, Majok Tulba, has been selected for a University award for Young Alumni Achievement. The award will be presented at a ceremony in the Great Hall on 27 September, and all alumni are welcome to attend the Alumni Awards Presentation.

Majok will be doing an event in the Faculty in October (more information in the next edition), when he will be joined by our alumni and friends, staff and students to discuss his life and work and his time studying social work with us. He came to Australia with refugee status after living for many years in refugee camps along the South Sudan and Ugandan borders and continues to work with both refugees and migrants in Sydney’s western suburbs. We are enormously proud of Majok and his success and wish him our congratulations.
