Alumnus donates $5 million to support scholarships and research
The University of Sydney has announced a $5 million gift from alumnus Peter Davidson (BEc '54) to establish scholarships at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the Sydney Medical School.
World-first WHO collaborating centre launched at the University
A new World Health Organization centre has been launched at the University of Sydney, and aims to increase the role of prevention in reducing non-communicable diseases including obesity, diabetes, chronic lung diseases and cardiovascular diseases.
Baden Pailthorpe is the inaugural Australian War Memorial artist in residence
Faculty of Arts graduate, Baden Pailthorpe, has been announced as the inaugural Australian War Memorial artist in residence.
Australian Institute for Nanoscience building work launched by Senator Kim Carr
Senator The Hon Kim Carr, Federal Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research and Minister for Higher Education, has launched building work on the site for the new Australian Institute for Nanoscience at the University of Sydney.

Vice-Chancellor's Morning Tea
A special event on 14 August for alumni of the University of Sydney who graduated prior to 1965, and their guests. The generous morning tea will include entertainment and an address by the Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Dr Michael Spence. Find out more
