$5.6 million for University of Sydney to lead on cultural competence
A grant of $5.6 million will support the creation of the National Centre for Cultural Competence at the University of Sydney, establishing it as the first university in the world to address cultural understanding at a broad university level.
2013 Queen's Birthday Honours List
The University would like to congratulate the outstanding alumni who were recognised as part of the 2013 Queen's Birthday Honours List.
The Dalai Lama speaks on education
With his customary red robes enfolding him, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, spoke with great humour to a group of about 800 students at the Seymour Centre on 13 June.
Work starts on state-of-the-art Abercrombie Precinct Project
A ground-breaking ceremony for the University of Sydney's Abercrombie Precinct Project today marked the official start of the construction phase of a $180 million, state-of-the-art facility for the University of Sydney Business School.
